This free art event in San Diego is part of ICA’s commitment to reduce barriers to contemporary art in our community.

4:00 – 6:00 PM | All Ages Art-Making Activity

Craft a futuristic device inspired by Manuel Alejandro Rodríguez-Delgado’s artwork. Use clay and a variety of other materials to imagine and design an ideal device for a futuristic world. What advanced technology, features and gadgets will help you in your future adventures?

4:00 – 7:30 PM | Donated Ceramics Sale

Come shop our Summer Ceramics Sale featuring a spectacular collection generously donated by ICA ceramics members, instructors, and students. From delicate vases to intricately designed mugs and plates, our collection showcases a variety of styles and techniques. Whether you’re drawn to earthy tones and rustic textures or vibrant, modern designs, there’s something here to adorn every space. Best of all, 100% of the proceeds will be reinvested in our Learning and Engagement programs!

5:00 – 5:30 PM | Exhibition Tour With Melissa Walter (Artist Pavilion)

Join the artist for a walk through of her exhibition, Plexus.

5:45 – 6:15 PM | Exhibition Tour With Manuel Alejandro Rodríguez-Delgado (Education Pavilion)

Join the artist for a walk through of his exhibition, Futuros Itinerantes.

6 PM – 8 PM | Music in the Garden 

Music by Please Ask for Paul.

6:30 – 7:30 PM | Manuel Alejandro Rodríguez-Delgado Reading (Education Pavilion)

Join the artist as he reads excerpts from his writing and opens the floor to conversation.

4 PM – 8 PM | Food, Drinks and Socializing

Cocktails by Cambio Tequila, mocktails by Curious Elixirs, and bites by FlavorLab.
