About Soultry Sisters:
Soultry Sisters Arts + Wellness Collective was co-founded in January 2019 by sisters Toni Lynn and Alyssa “Ajay” Junious, both born and raised in San Diego. The Soultry Sisters strive to make the arts and wellness space more equitable and to empower diverse communities to live vibrant, creative lives through soulcare, creative expression, sustainability, and collective healing. In doing so, they reframe holistic wellbeing as a communal approach and see arts and wellness as the foundation for activism.
5 PM – 7 PM | View the Gallery, Family Friendly Art Activity, Food, Drinks and Socializing
For hush—Dutch artist afra eisma’s first solo exhibition in the United States—eisma is designing an experience inspired by the healing properties of breath. As eisma explains, “Breath is a tool in becoming more present; it’s a healing power for our nervous system, a bridge between body and mind. Breath is a bodily function that we have the power to control, or we let it take control of us.” eisma processes her own personal trauma through art making, and creates spaces for visitors to do the same.
We hope to C you there!
