Insider Series: Glass Blowing Demo with the de la Torre Brothers

Meet up with ICA and your community of fellow San Diego County art lovers at Bread & Salt on Saturday, August 5th, from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm! During the event, you’ll get an exciting, behind-the-scenes look at the process and practice that created many of the glass blown pieces in the de la Torre Brothers’ current show at ICA San Diego / Central: Post-Columbian Futurism. Throughout the hour and a half glass blowing demonstration, you can also explore the de la Torre Brothers’ private studio as well as their solo exhibition at Quint ONE — all in one day and at one location.

Quint Gallery, founded by Mark Quint, has been an essential platform in San Diego’s contemporary art scene since 1981. Operating since 2021 in the Bread & Salt Arts building in Logan Heights, ONE is a Quint satellite space designed to experience a single, monumental work at a time, and right now, you can see
