The Pompom Project: Power in Practice

Join artist Katie Ruiz to make colorful yarn pom poms for an upcoming public art project!

Ruiz’s Pompom project combines simple craft practices and humble materials to produce powerful results. Through the communal act of making, people—strangers—come together to work toward a common goal.

This is an amazing opportunity for our diverse community members to engage in a collaborative creative process that is both meditative and joyful.

Come hang out, make new friends, and help us create pom poms that will form part of a large-scale Creative City installation, displayed at the Civic Center Concourse later this summer to celebrate Creative City.
