What: C You Saturday! In celebration of Pinar Yoldas: Synaptic Sculpture
When: Saturday, February 24, 2024 / 4pm – 8pm
Where: ICA San Diego / Central
Program
4pm – 5pm I View Gallery
Pinar Yoldas: Synaptic Sculpture.
4pm – 6pm I Family-Friendly Art Activity in The Hub
Create a “Not Quite Right” collage inspired by Pinar Yoldas’ exhibition, Synaptic Sculpture. The assemblages explore the uncanny realm of AI-generated imagery, where the algorithmic mind occasionally falters, birthing compositions that subtly deviate from reality and expose their synthetic genesis.
5pm – 6pm I Artists in Conversation: The Edge: AI + Human Creativity
Join us in the theater at Mingei International Museum during C You Saturday for a lively panel discussion, The Edge: AI + Human Creativity. ICA San Diego Curator Jordan Karney Chaim moderates a conversation featuring artist Pinar Yoldas, Sylvia Cartwright, MD, and Suman Kanuganti, Co-Founder and CEO of Personal.ai. Discussion includes 15 minutes of Q&A. Seats are limited, RSVP at the link below.
6pm – 8pm I Music
Music by DJ TeeLynn.
4pm – 8pm I Food, Drinks, Socializing
Beverages by Curious Elixirs, Topo Chico, and Sacred Hill Wine. Cuban sandwiches and empanadas by Hell Yeah Helena.
